courageousness and its dimensions
the word courage in principle means steadfastness and solidification of the heart and management in hard times and under hard conditions and energy-consuming conflicts, thus, courage is a heartly affair and is rooted well in the soul of man. Courage in Persian means bravery and audacity and the person who has powerful heart, is courageous as emam Ali says: much fear comes from the disability of soul and weakness of the faith. It should be noted that courage has vast dimensions and sorts and one sort of which is bodily or physical courage. It is possible that a person is very powerful from viewpoint of physical resistance, but morally is weak and disabled , for instance, by sitting once at the colorful table of lunch or dinner, he commits favoritism regarding the owner of the table such a person is psychologically very weak and will not have moral courage. In clearer point, courage and patience have interrelated link with each other such that the person who has no patience will not have courage either. On the same basis, hazrat Ali, says: patience is courage. A person asked emam Hassan : what is courage? Emam Hassan answered: confronting the war mongers and resistance in the field of war. Thus, courage has a vast meaning and one branch of it means bodily courage and physical resistance and considering the powerful heartly-felt will, we can notice the role of courage in every value brought about by the heartly felt courage. Thus, hazrat Ali says: the most courageous person is he who overcomes his wishes. He also said: the most courageous person is the most meek of them.
