Objectives and Themes
Throughout human history, radiant and guiding figures have always illuminated the path of mankind, helping humanity overcome ignorance and darkness so that human beings may cultivate the divine trust placed within them and rescue themselves from ignorance, savagery, and degradation.
The foremost torchbearers of this luminous constellation are the divine prophets and their pure, infallible successors. After them come their disciples: the scholars of religion, the hadith transmitters, the exegetes, and others who followed their footsteps in knowledge and spiritual conduct.
Hazrat Abdol-Azim Hassani (peace be upon him) is one of these radiant lights whose influence has extended from his lifetime until today, illuminating the history of Shi‘ism and Iran and leaving a profound impact on the spirituality, knowledge, and culture of Shi‘a society and this land.
The Holy Shrine of Hazrat Abdol-Azim (pbuh) and the Dar al-Hadith Cultural Institute, in order to:
- introduce and honor the scientific and spiritual personality of Hazrat Abdol-Azim (pbuh),
- promote the hadith teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them),
- research and study the hadith heritage of Hazrat Abdol-Azim (pbuh),
- examine the position of the shrine and its role in the historical developments of Shi‘ism in Iran,
have organized a congress on the occasion of the 1250th anniversary of his blessed birth.
